An i3 will get you much better gaming performance on a budget if you put the extra money into a faster GPU.

Go to tomshardware and find the best GPU and best CPU for the money articles, find your sweetspot based on that.
Remember, a faster GPU with a slower CPU will almost always give you better gaming performance on a tight budget.

 Well, with that om the table I will go with XFX AMD Radeon HD 6790 and Intel Core i3-2100 Processor 3.1GHz 3 MB
