Me, Invalidus, EricBlazed, Alvaro, Ramboo, and HouseMD have recently been playing DD tournaments for a few hours on ServerFFS test servers, and are thinking about paying to for a new server and start doing Tournament nights.
These would be a few hour long games, where there are teams of 2 players, battling against eachother, and the first team to reach 15 points wins.
An Example:
Team 1
[O.o]MattyC
[O.o]Invalidus
Team 2
EricBlazed
HouseMD
Team 3
[O.o]Alpha
[O.o]Giraffen420
Team 4
[O.o]Mdbelen
[O.o]Tom-E
and so on... and players can choose who they want to be in a team with...
While playing these tournaments we've had a lot of laughs, and it's been much, much more fun than an a normal DD match on the server, because it is a cool, and new idea, and we think that we should make it an official weekly clan event, maybe 3 days a week.
Every X day at 00:00 until 01:00, this is all Invalidus' idea but is only in develepment.
So what do you say? Who thinks this is a good idea? Give us your opinions!

I think of course that is a good idea ;P, because we made 3 tourneys already and was so funny. First was at my hamachi server where nimax was lagging like a turk so I searched for a free server but was just a test server that allows me for use it 3 times 4 hours so matty says that he will pay for a 24/7 server that will be a meeting/tourney server.
We thought about to do that in private server, but soon it will be a DD server so...
In there, we made a [3 vs 3] and [2 vs 2 vs 2]<- 2 times so teams can be 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 4 vs 4... thats not a problem, just make teams thats all :)
Well, thats the idea, what do you think? :P

Of course i agree that would be awesome i was at one of that tournament yesterday and was really more funny than a normal DD :D mattyc you forgot me :P i played yesterday too :D

Ah Starac, this tournament was in a private, passworded server. This was much better, trust me :D

Yay! Tom Riddle and me can help you with the server, we are trying to make several things, including a server in MTA.
Can make a calendar for the battles :P
this is all Invalidus' idea but is only in develepment.

great <3 well... it depends if you would allow regular players on the server, only for the time of the tournament. I will be the password chooser! haha :P if this goes ahead, i say our new server will be shitting epicness. fuck yeah :D

give us password just during turnament and then change it easy not complicated xD

We can do it on our O.o private server... if its once a week ( example: Sunday ) there will be a new pass on the forum and we gonna play the tournament for a few hours and the pass will be changed after that... the next sunday same shit

Yeah, and we could make a forum section that provide this information, where players can also says that he will participate, make teams, discuss stuff like that, you know.

You could even make a script which deletes the password 1h before the tournament and sets it back to the old one after it. So no need for a new pw every time. And you could make the script also for teams and counting the wins and transferring it automatically to this website to show it public.

I will probably get off my ass and learn Lua.. Or get my good friend to, he is good with scripting.. :p
maybe we should organize a TS meeting or something for people who like this idea? so we can develop it?

Normal players wont atend to tournamets coz for them it is boring and wasting time, you win and nothing happends.
so i got an idea: PRIZE!!
due we cant send money for wins and stuff like that, i have sth else on my mind:
for example, prize would be points.
after you win the match you get 50 points, and you can trade that points on normal server with: car color, nice .gif icons above your car (like icon when you are typing), sky color change, fixing your car, nitro and stuff like that..
so players would be like:
player#1: OMG i have 100 points i can change my car color..
player#2: omg where did you get that, how???
player#1: i won tournamet!
player#2: awesome i wanna play tournament too...
that would be crazy if somebody can script that, what do you think guys??

you can redirect somebody to another server by script, too. So you could do tournaments like a final match between 2 teams or whatever. but oh, i think you could even do that on the same server, while the other players are still playing, you'd just need to write a own gamemode (mod of race) for that.

I was thinking about other thing. In normal server, people winning will get score points. At the end of every week, 10 high scored players will be chosen for a tournament. 5 VS 5 . So only good players could play in tournaments . About points, it will be useful for non tournament people too.

Hm that's something like a in SHC clan but if you wanna that every player who play in that tournament must to register on a server(that's not problem but i just say) and it would be good if we have rank list where you can see how much points you have.....:)

Why not? I saw it on another server it was actully pretty cool, 1 boom should cost an ungodly amount of points so it doesnt happen constantly.

Sorry, but all ideas, that is giving any player some kind of "Advantage" such as nos, ghostmode, respawn, blowing up anothers car, adding barrel, what so ever with points, money or what so ever is the shittiest idea, that anyone has ever thought of. So fucking unfair in all ways.
Points should only be shown to be who is the "best", or something like that

I dont think there should be any advantages. I think for points, should get car colour... or some other stuff..
VIP tag next to their name for a week or something (e.g. VIP! > [O.o]Millhouse: I have a VIP tag which means i won the tourney... you are all noobs!!)
and maybe that gif image above the car...
or even perhaps the player who wins the tournament, can have small priveleges on the main server (e.g. make a their own team on the server and choose players and name colour)...
all these ideas are random shit but i'm sure you guys know what i mean. Nothing like Free NOS or Godmode because as Giraffen said, it is unfair. Especially when the best players are the one who get the free upgrades..

The only thing which would maybe be funny would be to drop barrels, because everybody can hit it, even you self.
In my unfinished script i wanted to make possibility to buy "protected nicknames" for you with money/points

It's easily possible to protect the [VIP]-Tag from unauthorized usage, just like O.o-Tag and Accountnames.
Well scripting-learning-time depends on your knowledge about programming. If you already know some stuff, it isn't hard.

Well mill programming can be quite differnt from web design... but i hear it's an easy progarming language to pick up. i'm gonna have a look into itmyself :Gift:
